False Messages of the Cross

I came across this opinion piece in a SA newspaper "Take heart in Easter's great message"
At first i thought wow, this is awesome someone has put the message of the gospel into a newspaper. But after reading a few lines i realised this is a twisted and false gospel.

The article interprets the easter message in the Bible to today's problems. Which is fine if you correctly interpret it. But this article uses the example of Jesus as a way we can get through Political injustice, lower pay in a economic downturn, doom and gloom. Overall the article tells us "The Easter story gives us faith in the human spirit to say they can be solved."

What????

The easter story is a message of hope to us. Not because it gives us a stronger human spirit to deal with things. But because we are made right with God. The problems we face today are nothing compared to the problem of facing God and being judged for our disobedience. Jesus gives us hope and assurance of being pardoned for our sins. In this I will take heart. I will not take heart in human spirits. They are corrupt, sinful, wrong, and finite.

This easter take heart in the message of forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ, the King of the universe.
